Social responsibility
Over the last few years, businesses have gradually become more responsive to Social Responsibility (CSR), and many set up their activities more carefully in terms of environmental and social sustainability, efficient use of resources, reducing energy consumption, waste reduction, etc. Compass Group Italia intends to contribute to this small cultural revolution, internally and externally, considering it necessary for a balanced growth of society and the economy. For a long time, Compass Group Italia has been working to improve its business system to incorporate Corporate Social Responsibility, monitoring the impact of its operations through ‘social’ indicators, preparing intervention and improvements programs that allow gradual assimilation of the principles of international standard SA8000 (Social Accountability) at all business levels.

Our attention to environmental issues is reflected in all business processes which in a variety of ways contribute to the success of the activities, whether they are operational or administrative, promoting sustainable management of our meal service in canteens, in external distribution centres and of transported meals

Our purchasing policy gives priority to external partners who are able to pursue the same environmental objectives and have the tools, procedures and certifications that confim such commitment, with clear and shared improvement targets year on year
